The Suffield Arms
The Suffield Arms is the much anticipated new pub from the owner and team behind The Gunton Arms in North Norfolk. The attention to detail is impeccable, incredible art at every turn and oh the food and drink is truly exceptional!

There's a traditional pub atmosphere as you enter The Suffield Arms (complete with pool table and probably locals propping up the bar), then you go through to a gorgeous, airy and light restaurant area with a huge tapas bar with open kitchen behind. Upstairs is an opulent, dark and cosy cocktail lounge (follow the neon sign to beer, porn and girls!) which opens out to a rooftop terrace.
Everything you need to know about The Suffield Arms
- The main focus is tapas, where they've obviously sourced the best ingredients they can and have employed a Spanish head chef for authenticity
- They do not take bookings (other than for parties over 6) so it's a great place to just turn up for food and drinks, my advice would be to get their when they open at 12pm or earlier that you would like to eat in case there is a wait
- The Suffield Arms is located opposite the train station in Gunton, so the perfect place to get the train instead of driving and have a few drinks
- It's child-friendly (except for some of the rather graphic/ sexual art! haha) - we took our kids (5 & 6) and the reasonably priced children's menu was just perfect for them with tomato pasta, pizza or cheese croquette options
- There's an amazing cocktail bar upstairs where I can imagine being able to lose all sense of time and responsibilities!
- If you love it, you must try the Gunton Arms if you haven't already been
- The interior is amazing, the owner is an art dealer (Ivor Braka) so like the Gunton Arms there is probably millions of pounds worth of art on the walls (that black square full of flies on the wall below is a Damien Hirst!)
