Are you a small producer looking to exhibit at the BBC Good Food Show for the first time? Well you've come to the right place! We manage The Food Champions area at the Summer & Winter shows. Subsidised rates are available for eligible small producers and we offer support to make sure you get the most out of it too.

We manage the Food Champions area of the BBC Good Food Shows which is the destination for the most enthusiastic foodies, press, chefs and industry professionals visiting the show to discover most fabulous, new, unique and exciting producers and brands.


This is a subsidised, application only area which we manage, constantly keeping a look out for producers, finding more about the way they produce and tasting their food and drink to ensure all  Food Champions are of the highest calibre for the area at the shows!


The area offers discounts of up to 44% on stands for small producers and is by application only with limited availability. Apply and book your stand early to avoid disappointment! Stands at the BBC Good Food Show Summer start at £621 + £99 reg fee + VAT,  for the smallest stand (2m x 1.5m). If you don't meet the criteria we can help you book in with the best rates available, best location within the show and with support to make the most of it too.

More about the Food Champions Area and Eligibility Criteria


The BBC Good Food Show Food Champions area is a subsidised area featuring at the BBC Good Food Shows Summer and Winter at the NEC. Introduced to help support small, speciality and artisan producers exhibit at one of the shows in a dedicated area of the show.  Approved businesses can benefit from discounted stand rates; making the shows more affordable and start-up budget friendly. 


The BBC Good Food Shows are the ultimate food events where producers can put their brands in front of thousands of customers, food enthusiasts, industry experts, press and chefs and presence at this prestigious show can help to achieve business growth through direct sales, post show sales, increase consumer databases, building brand awareness, valuable brand association and benefit from valuable networking amongst other small producers and bigger brands. 


What do Food Champions get?

 

  • Subsidised rates set with small producer budgets in mind 
  • Feature within the Food Champions area at  the show, a collection of similar, independent speciality and artisan producers
  • Editorial coverage of Food Champions area on show website and in show guide 
  • Inclusion of area in social media campaign 
  • Opportunity to put your product in front of press, VIPs, green rooms and chefs where possible
  • Support and advice from Katy Truss who has 15 years experience working on the BBC Good Food Shows
          

 

Who can apply? 


 

  •  Small producers of excellent, artisan and speciality food and drink with a low turnover and that haven't attended the show before
  •  Existing exhibitors within the main show are unable to move into this area 

 

How are companies approved for the area?


Inclusion in the area will be based on consideration of the following criteria, which will be assessed through the application form and review of actual product: 

 

  •  Size of business and level of distribution
  •  Quality of product 
  •  Point of difference and level of availability to consumers
  •  Provenance 
  •  Presentation of product range and price points
  •  Integrity and ethos

If you would like to apply please complete the application form and send ASAP to Katy Truss   along with a product sample and any promotional literature. 


Applicants will be notified whether or not they are successful in their application within 3 weeks of applying. If unsuccessful Katy will be able to discuss alternative options within the shows.



Stand Availability 



Stands within these areas of the shows are limited, vary in size and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
